Some have even said that that future has already begun, albeit in a less sophisticated manner, with algorithms that process big data to serve you targeted ads, Facebook propaganda, and better medical diagnoses (not everything is bad). Congruent with the theory, as more sophisticated machine learning systems are deployed, the more these algorithms will control our lives.
